I realized I was starting to cross over into the I love celebrities phase when I started talking about Ellen DeGeneres as if she was my friend. I love Ellen, she makes me laugh every single time I watch her show, she is a super kind lady and I really do look forward to her coming on in the afternoons. I still haven't figured out if it's just her humor I like or if it's because that means Aaron will be home from work soon! Yes! Another adult in the house!!! Anyways, I noticed I was becoming creepy when I would say things to Aaron like "Ellen gave so and so a pair of underwear today and they wore them, It was hysterical!" And if you don't watch her show you don't know they deal with the Ellen undies. It wasn't just that I was talking about her show, it's that I said something about her show almost daily and I would say it as if Ellen was an old home girl from high school or something.
I knew it was time for a change when I found myself watching Honey Boo-Boo. If you haven't watch this show, don't! Your jaw will drop to the floor at how low reality TV has gone.
However, because I couldn't resist (even though I told you not to watch it) Here is a clip of Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo for your viewing pleasure.....If ya don't know, now ya know!
After watching an episode of this show I went and got my old job back! Tonight is my first night. Hopefully I will get enough adult interaction that I will stop talking about Ellen like she is my BFF.
Im so glad we don't have to do an intervention for you. Honey Boo Boo is evidence you have reached the rock bottom. With a job, you are on your way out. Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteOMG, Kenny you made me laught with your blog... you know? I feel like you many times, TV is my friend.... I don't have kids, but I live in a place that is isolated, I have 4 neighbors around me but, they're always in their houses, never come out, never talk, nothing, I remember once my neighbor on the left told me (this was the second and last time we spoke in 3 years), he didn't want to have nothing to do with the community we live in =S.... and I truly believe him, I barely see him and have never ever seen his wife or kid!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard for somebody like me to relate to others, you know me, came from a different country when I was 32 years old, english is my second language and even though I've improved my speaking, I am still incapable to answer a joke with another joke. I go to work and I'm around other people, but after work I come home and that's it, no neighbors, no friends or family but the TV.
I have to say that watching TV shows has helped me to improve my english.. I remember my first eight months in this country (back on 2008) I was, as I call it, 'kidnapped by USA', because I was in this country legally, but without visa or green card and I wasn't allowed to work or leave the country, I didn't know anybody but my husband and his family, so I didn't have anything else to do but to learn more english and watch TV. I remember myself watching History channel, the news, Natgeo and Maury show... yes Maury, I wanted to learn the dirty english too, arguing that I wanted to know when somebody was cursing at me...
I'm glad you went back to work at BBB... sometimes I'd like it too... I have great memories from that place and all of you. I never going to forget you interviewed me and gave me the oportunity to work there, even though I didn't have any sales experience and I didn't know the names in english of every single item in the store, it was just horrible hahaha, but I learned a lot and most important, met all you people, you, Aly, Sasha, Karie, Marquies, both Stephanies, Clark, Steve, Celeste, Audrey, etc... I won't change that for nothing, buuuuut I'll keep watching TV... I guess is time to add more books to my life, is time to go back to read... anyway, thanks for sharing!!! made my day...
Oh Lucy! You are so wonderful! :) I would have loved to see you watching Maury!!!
